Responsibilities
Assist with controlling access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points
Provide customer service by greeting visitors, answering questions, and offering guidance on security-related procedures
Follow site-specific policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment within the logistics and distribution setting
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, escalating as appropriate
Conduct regular and random patrols of the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities
Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or hazards encountered during shifts
Support emergency response activities in accordance with established protocols and Allied Universal guidelines
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
A guard card or license is preferred
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred
