Fiscal Specialist Supervisor

Responsibilities

Provide complex administrative and fiscal supervision and support to Area 2 Maintenance leadership and staff
Develop and implement fiscal and administrative procedures to ensure efficient office operations
Review, audit, and reconcile financial, payroll, inventory, and purchasing activities for accuracy and compliance
Oversee procurement of materials and supplies, track purchasing activity, and advise personnel on purchasing rules and policies
Manage internal communication and coordination with field staff and external agencies during routine operations and emergencies
Coordinate the processing of over-legal permits, cash receipts, travel arrangements, and public/customer programs
Supervise a fiscal technician, including assigning work, evaluating performance, providing training, and participating in hiring
Perform additional duties during emergencies to assess information, determine response actions, and coordinate staff and resources

Required

Fiscal and Administrative Experience: Experience providing administrative and fiscal support, including reviewing, auditing, and reconciling financial or payroll records
Payroll and Financial Systems: Experience processing or auditing payroll and financial data, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating corrections in compliance with established policies
Purchasing and Procurement Compliance: Working knowledge of purchasing procedures and ability to review and track purchases to ensure compliance with organizational or public sector guidelines
Communication and Coordination: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, external agencies, and the public using verbal, written, and electronic communication methods
Technology Skills: Working knowledge of standard office software and administrative or financial systems used to track, manage, and report data
Customer Service and Professional Judgment: Ability to provide responsive customer service, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive or time-critical information
Growth Mindset: Actively demonstrates a commitment to learning and growth
Service-Oriented: Takes action to meet the needs of others
