OT Systems Integrator
Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, is one of the nation’s largest municipally owned utilities. The OT Systems Integrator will engage in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Energy Management System while participating in project work to modernize the power grid operations with enhanced intelligence and automation.

Responsibilities
Prepare specifications
System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Prepare and execute test procedures
Change management
Monitor, diagnose, resolve and report incidents and user issues
Liaison with other operations technology providers (e.g. power plants, substation, data network communications, regulatory compliance, Seattle IT, industry vendors and consultants)
Participate in 24x7 call-out rotation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience working in an Energy Management System, Operational Technology, or SCADA environment, preferably in an electric utility
Recent college graduates will be considered who have a career interest in electric utility operation and have examples of completing automation type projects using Linux based platforms / Microcontrollers, communication protocols, telemetry, databases, and/or data visualization
General understanding of IT applications, infrastructure, and integration supporting SCADA/EMS systems
Technical experience in Linux and Windows environments
Command line proficiency and general troubleshooting skills
Excellent troubleshooting abilities
A proficiency in programming, scripting, workflow, and automation technologies
Experience creating reports from large amounts of data
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing, communications, and briefing skills
Skills related to change management in mission-critical environments
Organization and planning skills to manage competing priorities
Personal initiative to deliver high-quality and continuous improvement results
Flexibility to work independently or in teams that include users, peers, vendor and consultant resources
Experience with any of the technologies listed in the Job Responsibilities section above
Experience with Electric utility SCADA or other utility/industrial control systems
Experience with High availability 24x7 computing environments
Experience with Cyber Security or NERC Reliability/CIP Standards
Experience with IT Infrastructure with network, servers and workstations
Experience with Relational Database with PostgresQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase or others
Experience with Communication protocols (e.g., DNP3, Modbus, LG8979, SDI12, IEC60870)
Experience with RTU / SCADA equipment vendors (e.g., SEL RTAC RTU)
Preferred
Experience with Advanced Distribution Management System
Experience with DERMS
Experience with Distribution Automation
