Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate
Patrol retail store areas, mall common spaces, entrances, stockroom corridors, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and operational concerns
Conduct regular and random patrols on foot throughout the location, documenting observations and reporting issues per post orders
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer disputes, disturbances, and/or medical situations, and notify local emergency services as needed
Monitor and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or prohibited conduct, using clear verbal communication and professional presence
Support store and mall management with access control tasks such as monitoring service doors, receiving areas, and/or after-hours entry per site procedures
Write clear and complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and/or shift summaries according to Allied Universal and site-specific requirements
Assist with loss prevention awareness by observing sales floor activity and reporting trends, while maintaining a customer-focused approach
Provide directions and general assistance to shoppers and staff, including wayfinding, store hours, and/or escalation of customer concerns
Operate site communication tools such as radios, phones, and/or electronic reporting applications to coordinate responses and share timely updates
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
