Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, implementation, and supervision of citywide pickleball leagues, open play, clinics, and special events
Support the setup, operation, and breakdown of pickleball tournaments, including court preparation, participant check-in, scheduling assistance, and score reporting
Supervise pickleball courts during programs and league play to ensure participant safety, rule compliance, and sportsmanship
Serve as a point of contact for pickleball participants, providing friendly, professional, and high-quality customer service
Enforce park rules, pickleball-specific guidelines, and league policies in a courteous and consistent manner
Monitor pickleball court conditions and report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or facility issues to supervisory staff
Ensure correct pickleball signage is posted, visible, and up to date at assigned courts and facilities
Maintain simple written records related to league participation, facility usage, incidents, or equipment
Perform light maintenance and cleanliness tasks around pickleball courts and program areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
Work nights and weekends as required based on league schedules, tournaments, and seasonal programming
Perform related duties as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to establish rapport with the public
Ability to follow written and oral instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Ability to stand, walk, bend, grasp, and lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions as required
Preferred
Some experience participating in recreational games and activities preferred
A comparable combination of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications
