Responsibilities
Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls, providing clear and concise information to taxpayers
Offer online support to taxpayers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Communicate effectively through email, drafting correspondence and responding to inquiries
Accurately enter and update data in relevant systems, ensuring data integrity
Meet deadlines with minimal supervision, managing time efficiently
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an office environment with significant inbound and outbound phone responsibilities
At least 3 years of customer service experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
Proficient in 10-key typing with a speed of 10,000+ keystrokes per hour
Keen attention to detail, capable of proofreading correspondence and identifying errors
Ability to read and interpret city and county tax ordinances
Competence in preparing routine correspondence with minimal guidance
Strong mathematical skills, including performing basic computations using calculators or spreadsheet software
Problem-solving abilities to satisfactorily resolve routine situations based on supervisor's guidance or established instructions
Preferred
Familiarity with business tax requirements in Alabama, California, Louisiana, Georgia, and Texas is advantageous
