Information Technology Project Manager

Responsibilities

Lead all phases of project delivery to ensure scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk objectives are met
Coordinate project activities across IT teams, business owners, and key stakeholders
Monitor performance against project objectives and implement corrective actions when needed
Develop, manage, and maintain project charters, schedules, budgets, risk and issue logs, communication plans, gate reviews, and all required project documentation
Partner with management to secure project resources and funding
Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and delivery timelines
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs, processes, and data sources
Partner with business analysts and architects to translate business needs into detailed requirements and functional specifications
Provide regular status reporting and metrics to ensure transparency into delivery progress and team performance
Communicate project risks, issues, and status to executive leadership, including impacts to strategic direction
Manage and coordinate cross-project dependencies
Ensure projects comply with audit, governance, and regulatory requirements
Stay informed on AI trends and emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability to current and future initiatives
Perform additional projects and assignments as required

Required

Candidates must have a detailed resume that clearly reflects hands-on experience leading application development projects, with explicit use of Waterfall methodology
Resumes should include specific project examples demonstrating ownership of end-to-end delivery across PMLC and SDLC phases
This role requires a minimum of three days per week onsite and may transition to full-time onsite as business needs evolve
5+ years of experience managing complex application development and data integration projects
Strong knowledge of project management frameworks and SDLC methodologies
Proven ability to independently manage mid-sized to large IT integration initiatives
Demonstrated experience delivering projects using Waterfall, with exposure to Agile and Hybrid methodologies
Ability to translate business needs into actionable IT deliverables
Multi-disciplinary IT knowledge with hands-on systems deployment experience
Experience across requirements definition, testing, and implementation processes
Proficiency with Project and Portfolio Management tools such as MS Project, Planview, SharePoint, or similar
Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive results in a matrixed organization
Highly detail-oriented and exceptionally organized
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and managerial skills
Excellent business planning, prioritization, and time-management abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and proactively identify project risks
Strong written and verbal business communication skills
Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries and align diverse stakeholder perspectives
Collaborative team player who works well with both technical and business partners
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) required

Preferred

Experience within Commercial Insurance environments is preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not required
CPCU designation or advanced degree is a plus, but not required
