CertainPath™ is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. In this role, the Staff Accountant will maintain accurate financial records, support regulatory compliance, and ensure the integrity of financial reporting across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

Support month-end close and preparation of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) across multiple entities
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and income statement analysis
Generate financial metrics and assist with reporting dashboards
Reconcile cash, bank, and corporate credit card activity; support cash forecasting
Process commissions, expense reimbursements, and payroll-related journal entries in partnership with HR
Manage accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoice processing, payments, PO conversions, and client billing support
Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules, including capital expenditure projects
Assist with sales tax filings and related compliance requirements
Participate in finance projects and provide ad hoc support to senior accounting and finance team members

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
1-3+ years of progressive experience in accounting
Working knowledge of financial statement preparation, accounts payable, payroll processing, and sales tax filings
Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
Experience with ERP systems, fixed assets, depreciation, and commission calculations
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups)
Familiarity with financial reporting tools, dashboards, and tax compliance requirements
