Responsibilities
Develop detailed technical application and interface cutover plans for Epic go-live
Coordinate teams for execution of cutover activities, including data migration and system readiness
Oversee Command Center logistics, support schedules, and issue triage processes during go-live
Manage at-the-elbow (ATE) support consultants and ensure rapid issue resolution
Create and maintain project timelines, Gantt charts, and risk assessments
Track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables; ensure adherence to IT policies and change management standards
Act as liaison between clinical, operational, and IT teams
Provide regular status updates and escalation of critical issues to leadership
Validate workflows, oversee end-user readiness, and coordinate integrated testing prior to cutover
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of project management experience in Epic implementations, including cutover and go-live phases
Prior consulting experience strongly preferred
PMP or equivalent project management certification desirable
Epic certification in relevant modules preferred
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and other PM tools
Ability to travel onsite as needed (up to 25% or more during go-live)
Preferred
Experience with big-bang go-live strategies and multi-site healthcare systems
Ability to manage complex technical and operational dependencies under tight timelines
Flexibility to work extended hours during critical cutover and go-live windows
