Responsibilities
Coordinate daily activities within the Production Assembly department
Support Production Supervisor
Prepare work schedules; react quickly and effectively regarding unexpected labor needs
Train and monitor existing and new team members
Offer input to Supervisor when appraising performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
Ensure team understands and works towards performance goals
Recommend process improvements within the department
Review records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures
Maintain compliance to all company and customer policies and procedures (including safety)
Help lead safety of all associates by doing audits, walkthroughs, and discussing potential issues with supervisors
Review and correct errors in daily production and quality records
Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policy
Study and standardize procedures for improved efficiency of the team
Prepare reports for leadership
Assist in maintaining the 5S of the manufacturing area
Follow all plant rules and regulations
Other duties as required and assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years manufacturing experience
One (1) year of Leadership required
PC literate with experience in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Preferred
Experience in weld assemblies
