Wisconsin Department of Health Services is seeking an Attorney to support the Rural Health Transformation Program. The role involves providing legal advice and representation to various divisions and agencies, focusing on policy interpretation, statutes, regulations, and grant management.

Responsibilities
Providing legal advice, counsel, and representation to the DHS Office of the Secretary, divisions, counties, tribal nations, and federal governmental agencies
Consulting on policy interpretation and application, statutes, regulations, contracts, ethics, and application of federal and state court and administrative tribunal decisions
Supporting the newly established Office of Grants Management with a focus on the Rural Health Transformation Program
Qualification
Required
Licensure to practice law in the State of Wisconsin or licensed in another state with the ability to become licensed in Wisconsin within 60 days of appointment
Experience providing legal advice as a practicing attorney on complex ethical issues (e.g., conflicts of interest, governmental procurement rules, etc.)
Experience providing legal advice as a practicing attorney on matters related to procurements, contracts, grantmaking, or grant oversight
Preferred
Experience providing legal advice and representation as a practicing attorney related to health law or to a government entity
Experience overseeing grant funding opportunities
Experience drafting and negotiating contracts or grants
Experience providing legal advice as a practicing attorney to executive leadership
