Responsibilities
Review and sign complex federal and state returns: 1120‑S, 1065, Schedule C, Schedule E, and individual 1040s
Design and implement tax strategies (entity structuring, elections, timing, income shifting, deductions, retirement, etc.) for 6– and 7‑figure clients
Handle tax problem / resolution work: IRS and state notices, payment plans, penalty abatements, amended returns, and clean‑up projects
Manage and improve internal workflows so returns and plans are delivered on time with high accuracy
Join client Zoom calls to explain strategies in plain English and build long‑term relationships
Stay current on tax law changes relevant to small businesses and online income
Qualification
Required
Active CPA (required)
6+ years recent public accounting / tax advisory experience
Deep experience with: 1120‑S, 1065, Schedule C, Schedule E, and 1040s for business owners
Proven track record designing and implementing tax planning strategies (not just compliance)
Hands‑on experience with tax resolution / notice response work
Comfortable working directly with clients over Zoom; can translate complex tax into simple, action‑oriented advice
US‑based, able to work US business hours
Preferred
Experience with online businesses: digital products, agencies, coaches, influencers, content creators, or e‑commerce
Prior remote firm experience
