Security Officer - Plant Patrol Driver

In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a manufacturing and industrial location, conduct routine rounds, and provide excellent customer service while ensuring safety and security protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual conditions and/or unauthorized activity
Monitor and control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, directing visitors to check-in locations, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, medical calls, fire-related alerts, and/or disturbances, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed
Perform routine inspections of gates, doors, fencing, lighting, and critical areas, and report maintenance concerns and/or hazards through established reporting channels
Complete accurate, timely documentation such as daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs using written and/or electronic systems
Assist with traffic and/or vehicle control at entrances, truck routes, and loading dock areas, including checking delivery documentation when assigned
Communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and local responders, providing clear updates during routine operations and/or emerging situations
Support site emergency procedures and participate in drills as directed, including accountability support, area checks, and post-incident documentation

Required

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
