Senior Writer/Writer

Responsibilities
Content creation: produce high quality content that maintains College identity and brand standards. Write material for the College's flagship publication, the Grinnell Magazine, its online newsroom, admissions and philanthropic publications, and its website
Editing: edit content and provide feedback to other content producers across the College
Brand management: ensure brand, identity and quality standards in all content development
Content Strategy: analyze readership and continually improve content to meet strategic objectives
Consult with stakeholders and contribute to the development of multichannel strategic communication plans
Qualification
Required
Bachelor degree from four-year college or university in English, Communications, Public Relations, Creative Writing or a related field
5 years or more of professional experience
Champions Diversity Equity and Inclusion
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituents
Recognizes the value of teamwork
Preferred
Experience in higher education or other complex/matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders
Appreciation for the mission of selective liberal arts colleges
Experience with content management systems: Drupal/Constant Contact etc
Experience with content creation in other media, such as video or photography
Experience following AP style and house style manuals
