Responsibilities
Wear required PPE at all times and follow safe handling procedures
Safely handle chemicals in accordance with SDS documentation
Read and follow work orders, SOPs, and packaging tickets
Accurately use scales and material handling equipment
Operate mills and production equipment safely and efficiently
Stage raw materials and finished goods per work order requirements
Complete required production documentation
Submit samples to Quality Control for inspection
Clean equipment following Lockout/Tagout procedures
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
Perform daily equipment inspections
Charge batteries and check water levels
Ensure forklifts remain in good working condition
Assist with training other operators on safe forklift use
Maintain cleanliness of warehouse, equipment, and production areas
Perform basic maintenance tasks as outlined on work orders
Daily trash removal and workstation restocking
Organize raw materials and ensure proper waste disposal
Clean spills in accordance with Spill Cleanup procedures and SDS guidelines
Package and label products according to packaging instructions
Pull and weigh raw materials accurately
Participate in cycle counts and annual inventory
Assist with onboarding and training of new hires
Maintain accurate training records
Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives
Share ideas to improve safety, efficiency, and processes
Qualification
Required
Forklift license (required)
Hazard Communication certification (required)
Ability to lift and handle materials up to ~50 lbs
Comfortable wearing PPE and a half-mask respirator
Strong reading comprehension skills
Knowledge of spill cleanup procedures and safe material handling
Experience using scales and material handling devices
