InternHelios Technologies, Inc. is offering a paid Manufacturing Engineering internship opportunity for Summer 2026 at Sun Hydraulics in Sarasota, FL. Interns will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering and are expected to support operations through various improvement tasks and presentations.

Responsibilities
Supporting manufacturing operations by process improvement, fixture and jig design, and overall operational improvement tasks related to the manufacturing floor
Perform time studies and measurement data collection to aid in process capability and process improvements
Designing fixtures, jigs or workstations to make operator tasks more ergonomically friendly
Working alongside product engineering to troubleshoot problems with failures at end of line test and assist in improvements in First Pass Yield
Creating work instructions to outline the correct way to perform manufacturing related tasks
Qualification
Required
MUST BE A JUNIOR OR SENIOR STUDENT TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION
Hands on, self-motivated students from mechanical, mechatronic, mechanical engineering technology, agriculture, electrical/electronic, and industrial engineering related programs are encouraged to apply
Undergraduate and graduate students that have had fluid power or hydraulics course work are especially encouraged to apply
Preferred
Previous internship experience in a manufacturing environment is useful, but not necessary
Our preference is for students who have an interest in an engineering career working in Florida
