The Product Manager will support the buildout of small commercial and BOP programs, working closely with various teams to enhance product offerings and drive growth in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
Lead product strategy and direction for small commercial and BOP, especially around liability
Assess program performance, profitability, loss trends, and broker feedback to inform updates
Develop and refine underwriting guidance, appetite criteria, and product eligibility
Support countrywide growth initiatives and planning for new and enhanced products
Build structured roadmaps outlining both near-term improvements and long-term development
Partner with underwriting to address operational gaps left by prior employee
Work closely with analytics to translate data insights into product decisions
Collaborate with distribution to ensure products align to market needs and customer demand
Support junior analysts through coaching, clearer frameworks, and increased visibility
Participate in form updates, coverage refinement, and operational improvements
Contribute to cross-functional projects tied to broader commercial platform evolution
Stay current on industry developments and trends as well as the regulatory environments
Conduct periodic underwriting audits to ensure consistency and quality
Maintain awareness of industry developments to anticipate needed product adjustments
Engage directly with carrier partners to support alignment and relationship management
Contribute to special projects tied to broader operational or product initiatives
Qualification
Required
Strong BOP liability background required
5+ years of experience in small commercial or BOP product, underwriting, or underwriting-adjacent roles
Proven ability to work across multiple programs simultaneously
Solid grasp of commercial P&C profit drivers, rate adequacy, and program structure
Experience evaluating loss results, claims patterns, and performance metrics
Comfort making product recommendations backed by data and market insight
Familiarity with coverage design, eligibility rules, and form refinement
Ability to collaborate effectively with underwriting, distribution, analytics, and leadership
Strong communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast paced, high growth environments
Preferred
Preference will be given to candidates in Nashville, TN; Chicago, IL; Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; or Dallas, TX
Flexibility on location and openness to strong remote candidates
