Responsibilities

Analyze existing paper converting processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste
Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure the production of high-quality products
Conduct regular quality audits and provide guidance on quality-related issues
Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure the proper functioning of machinery
Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and collaborate with relevant stakeholders for implementation
Collect and analyze data related to production processes to identify trends and areas for improvement
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management
Ensure that all processes comply with safety regulations and industry standards
Investigate and address safety incidents and concerns
Develop training programs for production personnel to ensure proper execution of processes
Maintain documentation of processes, procedures, and equipment specifications
Lead process improvement projects from conception to completion, including budgeting and resource allocation
Support Lean initiatives specific to the industry, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing machine efficiency
Teach and apply Lean tools and methodologies to streamline workflows and reduce production costs
Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting manufacturing process issues, utilizing root cause analysis and hands-on problem-solving approaches
Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement effective solutions to ensure continuous and smooth operations

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., chemical, mechanical, industrial) or a related field
5 - 10 years experience in process engineering or a related role within the paper converting industry is preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experience in troubleshooting manufacturing process issues
Knowledge of process optimization techniques and continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Proficiency in data analysis and process modeling software
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting
