Quality Assurance Technician - 2nd Shift (1:45pm-10:00pm)
The Campbell's Company is a well-established food brand known for its iconic products. They are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician responsible for performing routine laboratory operations, monitoring production processes, and ensuring product quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities
Performing a variety of routine laboratory operations in a quality assurance setting
Making measurements and performing several routine quantitative and qualitative biological or chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures
Monitoring the production process and product by sensory, weight control, and analytical methods to maintain product consistency and comply with established specifications including color, moisture, pH, weight, size, etc
Evaluating all finished product in regard to moisture, ingredient content, breakage, color, package fill, raw and finished weights, seal integrity, code date legibility, and overall product quality
Accurately performing and documenting all testing
Inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, in process products, finished goods, and products produced by outside suppliers
Utilizing testing equipment for validation and/or calibration
Communicating all out-of-compliance situations and product standards to production employees and Production/QA Supervisors
Practicing and adhering to safety and hygiene guidelines for safe house keeping and personal protection
Keeping all work areas clean, storing laboratory supplies in designated areas, keeping benches and aisles clear
Strictly adhering to safety procedures when handling chemicals for testing
Following instructions for safe lifting
Executing the Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan included in the SQF Program at the front-line level
Monitoring the Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan effectiveness and conformance with SQF system requirements
Identifying, investigating and/or determining whether out-of-compliance finished product should be placed on hold
Coordinating disposition and/or rework with leadership approval
Monitoring raw materials storage area locations and completing shift tailings
Notifying appropriate personnel with any abnormal findings
Monitoring metal detection validation & verification
Auditing allergen maintenance repair sheets and operator forms
Conducting pre-op inspections of processing, packaging and mixing equipment after product changeovers and/or prior to weekly production start-up as a cross-functional team
Performing plant sanitation verifications to ensure allergen free and equipment is clean
Participating in Kleanz or respective program if applicable
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required
