Distribution Coordinator
CooperVision, a division of CooperCompanies, is a leading manufacturer of soft contact lenses. The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the workflow in the Distribution Area, ensuring timely completion of tasks while providing guidance and support to team members.

Responsibilities
Solid working knowledge of all distribution processes and procedures to include but not limited to: order processing, Baan Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Red Prairie Warehouse Management System, EZ Pick, carousel, voice, sorting, manifest, picks and packs customer, distributor, and contract orders via courier requested for shipment
Oversees the work flow in each key area to assure timely completion; reports problems, and may assist in resolution in order to prevent any customer service shipping issues
Seeks assistance from Supervisor in identifying and reporting problems or concerns, relating to job functions, safety, quality, employee performance, and attendance
May interface with Customer Service
Works scheduled holidays in order to maintain service levels for customers
As business needs dictates, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory Saturdays
Works scheduled hours and is ready to work at scheduled start times, notifies Supervisor prior to absence or tardiness in accordance with company policy
Immediately informs Coordinator/Supervisor/Manager of safety, sanitation, and equipment malfunctions and concerns regarding quality issues
Exhibits good communication skills verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language
Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and Regulatory requirements

Forklift and Man-up License, Kewill, BAAN, Red Prairie Warehouse Management Systems, Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), FedEx and UPS Software Knowledge
Wedge/radio frequency (RF) scanners, voice headsets, shrink sealer, heat tunnel, tape gun, utility knife, ladders, step stools, zebra printers, tray former, and various packing components, Forklifts, Man-ups. Within IDB area, additional equipment used, Hydraulic Pallet, Manual Pallet, and Hand Truck
Normal Warehouse Conditions
Noisy conditions 50-75%
Hot or humid conditions - >75%
Exposure to extreme seasonal temperatures - > 75%
Work near moving mechanical parts - > 75%
Minimum of three years of Distribution experience
Ability to perform basic mathematics and problem solving within a team based environment
PC Skills/ knowledge/ experience or equivalent training required
Previous warehouse experience and/or knowledge of U.S. Mail and other courier systems required
Strong communication (verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language)
Experience in a lead role required
Must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities
Ability to interface with all levels of personnel, work independently as well as in a team environment
High school diploma or GED required
Preferred
Associates Degree Preferred (i.e. Business Management, Business Administration, Engineering)
