Responsibilities

Oversees the achievement of department productivity and quality of work
Analyzes, evaluates, and manages business processes for effective and efficient workflows to ensure compliance with federal, state, and/or local requirements
Monitors workflow volumes, assign work to teammates, and reallocate resources as necessary
Manages and audits daily transactions, which may/may not be financial
Mentors, trains, and develops teammates to maximize their potential
Coaches, counsels, documents, and recommends promotion, demotion, and dismissal of teammates
Evaluates and reviews performance of teammates
Manages time and attendance of teammates
Interviews and recommends applicants for hire
Reviews and implements changes from the annual legislative sessions
Develops and maintains working relationships with outside agencies
Manages a highly demanding work environment

Required

Minimum of a high school diploma or possession of an accredited equivalency diploma
Seven (7) years of direct experience related to job functions including three (3) years experience supervising/leading teams
Ability to pass skills testing (such as typing, spelling, math, and grammar) within one (1) year
Valid Florida Driver's License may be required for some positions
Knowledge of business management principles, practices, guidelines, and procedures
Knowledge of and/or the ability to research the Florida Statutes
Knowledge and understanding of the terminology, processes, and type of work performed by the department
Knowledge of the principles and processes for effective, professional customer service
Computer skills for word processing, spreadsheet, database, and accounting software
Ability to develop and implement procedures relating to assigned functional area
Ability to present oral and written comments and recommendations clearly and concisely
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Ability to arrange information or taking actions in a certain order or pattern according to specific rules(s) that produce appropriate results
Ability to analyze workflows or procedures to identify potential issues, reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement appropriate solutions(s) and/or action(s)
Ability to review, edit, or create written procedures
Ability to analyze technical questions, operational information, and analyze data for resolution of problems
Ability to compile complex records and prepare reports
Ability to meet the general public and deal effectively with their questions and/or solve their issues
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Clerk & Comptroller, administrative staff, vendors, and Clerk & Comptroller's teammates
Ability to live and advocate commitment to the Organization's vision, mission, and values
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously, and actively resolve problems and find solutions using available resources
Ability to report to work on time and to perform the duties of the position for an entire workday
