The staff accountant will perform daily responsibilities related to the review, analysis, reconciliation, and maintenance of the balance sheet and corporate overhead accounts.

Responsibilities
Review Treasury activity and post banking transactions, accruals and debt entries
Prepare journal entries based on information gathered from different financial systems and corporate departments
Account for T&E transactions on a daily basis
Record various journal entries submitted by corporate and regional departments for intercompany and month-end close
A/R and Billing for new lines of business
Prepare, distribute and answer questions on corporate, regional and store statements
Perform monthly SG&A variance analysis against budget for various corporate departments
Perform monthly review, maintenance, and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts
Prepare quarterly work-papers and reconciliations for external auditors
Maintain proper documentation for processes pertaining to position
Assist in the planning, execution and reporting of special projects undertaken by the Corporate Accounting department
Assist other teams within the Controller’s group during quarter-end and year-end reporting
Qualification
Required
Four (4) year degree in Accounting
Strong technical accounting skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong MS Excel skills
Preferred
PeopleSoft experience
