Responsibilities
This position reviews submissions for reimbursement relating to accepted SIF claims from workers compensation carriers or their contracted vendors
By reviewing the SIF file, the newly submitted request for reimbursement and utilizing special medical fee schedule software, the analyst determines the proper reimbursement amount the SIF should remit to the carrier
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma
Experience in processing worker's compensation claims
Experience in medical coding
Experience in healthcare claims
A bachelor's degree may be accepted in place of the relevant work experience
Preferred
A working knowledge of workers compensation claims
Ability to read and comprehend medical records and complex information
Ability to complete calculations using software and manual calculator
Must be able to pay close attention to detail
Good time management
Good customer service skills
Ability and willingness to accept new challenges
Ability to lift 5 – 10 pounds
