Senior Manufacturing Engineer - 5-Axis Milling

Responsibilities
Lead the development of manufacturing processes for new aerospace components
Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives across engineering teams
Create and prove out N/C programs, operation sequences, workholding design concepts, tooling/gauge lists, and detailed work instructions
Support and improve existing production processes through hands-on shop floor engagement
Estimate time standards, labor ratios, and economic run quantities for complex parts
Generate detailed cost estimates for new business and process improvements
Evaluate and implement new capital equipment and manufacturing technologies
Collaborate daily with engineers, technicians, operations staff, quality teams, and suppliers to resolve process issues and mentor peers
Lead projects and potentially own the engineering portion of a dedicated manufacturing cell
Support automated manufacturing cells to reduce labor and variability
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 5+ years of relevant professional experience, or an Associate degree with 8+ years of relevant professional experience or a High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of proven professional experience
Strong knowledge and experience in 5-Axis CNC Milling programming using CAD/CAM (NX experience preferred, but not required)
Proven experience in end-to-end process engineering—from raw material to finished product
Hands-on machining experience, including setup and operation
Expertise in machining a variety of materials (aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, etc.)
Strong knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, and fixture design
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Project management experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
