Stormwater Project Manager
Metric Geo is a multi-discipline engineering firm seeking a Texas-licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) Stormwater Project Manager to support and lead stormwater and water resources projects. This role combines hands-on technical delivery with project management responsibilities, serving as a key technical resource and signing engineer while mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary signing engineer for stormwater and water resources projects
Manage schedules and budgets across multiple active projects
Perform and oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and drainage analyses
Provide technical leadership, training, and oversight to staff at varying experience levels
Prepare and review technical reports and calculations
Coordinate with and communicate regularly with public agencies and private-sector clients
Lead and participate in client and stakeholder meetings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)
Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in Texas (additional state licensure a plus)
5+ years of experience managing and delivering H&H-focused projects
Strong technical expertise with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD
Solid understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles (Rational Method, Unit Hydrographs, Manning's Equation, closed system analyses)
Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects while mentoring junior engineers
