Responsibilities

Develops and Leads Strategic Sourcing Plans
Supports Make vs. Buy Decisions
Analyzes Global Market Trends
Manages Commodity Strategy Development
Builds Strategic Supplier Partnerships
Optimizes Supply Channels
Drives Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
Negotiates and Manages Contracts
Leads Strategic Sourcing Teams and Projects

Qualification

Required

Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience (usually post education) in the field of manufacturing or engineering (preferably Automotive)
Global business travel will be required to visit Moog internal sites and their suppliers - sometimes with short notice
Requires strong analytical and creative problem solving abilities to understand and facilitate complex supply chain decision making
Requires excellent working knowledge and understanding of contractual requirements, business systems and processes
A good understanding of supply chain networks and linkage and flow
Travel to other Moog locations and suppliers, when required (about 10-20%)

Preferred

Bachelor degree level education preferred in the fields of Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business
Certification in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Program Management, additional education and a Master's Degree in Business, Engineering
Good negotiating skills, combined with knowledge of procurement and contractual law is preferred
Good communication/organizational skills, and be able to demonstrate an ability to understand complex
