Customer Trust Assurance – Cybersecurity
Aptara is seeking a highly skilled cybersecurity professional to join their Customer Trust and Assurance team within a dynamic cybersecurity program. The role involves delivering accurate responses to security inquiries and collaborating with internal engineers to validate the platform's security design and communicate effectively with customers.

Responsibilities
Respond to customer RFIs, security questionnaires, and due‑diligence inquiries related to security, privacy, and compliance
Collaborate closely with internal teams to gather, validate, and align accurate technical responses
Interpret and translate technical security concepts into clear, customer‑ready explanations
Support customer trust initiatives, including audits, certifications, and process improvements
Ensure timely, high‑quality delivery of all responses and maintain excellent communication throughout the customer lifecycle
Develop a deep understanding of the platform’s architecture, including cloud infrastructure, application components, identity flows, and data protection mechanisms
Articulate security design decisions, architectural patterns, and threat mitigation strategies in a way that builds high customer confidence
Partner with engineering teams to ensure externally communicated security details accurately reflect system design and controls
Enhance and maintain technical security documentation, architectural diagrams, and reusable content for customer assurance
Identify opportunities to improve clarity, consistency, and technical depth across customer‑facing security materials
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, cloud security, or related technical roles. Proven experience as a Security Architect, Cloud Security Engineer, Application Security Engineer, or Product/SaaS Security Engineer
Strong technical understanding of cloud‑native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including compute, networking, IAM, secrets management, logging, and encryption models
Hands‑on experience collaborating with engineering teams on system design, security controls implementation, and threat modeling
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to confidently represent complex technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders
Experience responding to customer security questionnaires or RFIs and grounding responses in engineering detail
Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST CSF, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or CSA STAR
Experience creating or maintaining architectural diagrams and technical documentation
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or cloud security certifications

Confident talking to customers about security and passionate about technical solutions
A strong communicator, both written and verbal
Able to collaborate with a cross-functional team across different locations
