Responsibilities
Act as Lead Business Analyst for front-office trading systems, with primary responsibility for vendor platforms (FlexTrade)
Partner closely with traders, portfolio managers, and operations to understand trading workflows and business requirements
Own end-to-end requirements gathering, documentation, and delivery for trading system enhancements and new functionality
Serve as the primary point of contact with external vendors, managing relationships, roadmap discussions, issue resolution, and change requests
Translate front-office needs into clear functional specifications for internal technology teams and vendors
Support production trading systems, assisting with incident triage, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
Oversee testing, UAT, and release coordination for trading system changes
Ensure alignment between vendor solutions and the fund’s broader trading architecture
Maintain detailed documentation of trading workflows, system behavior, and operating procedures
Provide guidance and mentorship within the 7-person Trading Systems BA team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
Significant experience as a Business Analyst supporting front-office trading systems on the buy-side or at a leading trading technology vendor
Hands-on experience with vendor trading platforms, with strong preference for FlexTrade
Deep understanding of trading workflows, including order lifecycle and execution
Strong knowledge of OMS/EMS platforms, market data, and execution workflows
Experience working with FIX protocol and trade messaging
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage traders, engineers, and vendors
Strong analytical skills and comfort operating in a fast-paced, front-office environment
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously
Preferred
Experience supporting multi-asset or multi-strategy trading environments
Prior exposure to low-latency or high-throughput trading systems
SQL skills for data analysis and trade investigation
Previous experience mentoring junior analysts or leading small teams
