Information Technology Specialist

Power Services Group is seeking an Information Technology Specialist who will provide technical support and manage IT assets. The role involves ensuring the seamless operation of devices, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining hardware and software systems.

Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Respond to support requests via phone, email, or in-person and resolve issues promptly
Assist with the configuration and maintenance of workstations, laptops, and mobile devices
Provide support for software installations, updates, and patches
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and peripherals
Track and manage asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal
Ensure accurate documentation of asset information and update records as needed
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for asset procurement and warranty claims
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on IT equipment, including computers, printers, scanners, and other peripherals
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements
Ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition and regularly conduct preventive maintenance
Set up and configure new devices for end-users, ensuring they meet organizational standards and requirements
Install and configure operating systems, software applications, and security settings on new devices
Provide orientation and training to end-users on new devices and technologies
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, and access points
Monitor network performance and address connectivity issues as they arise
Collaborate with the network team to ensure seamless network operations and security

Required

Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
Proven experience in IT support, asset management, and device maintenance
Strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting techniques
Familiarity with network devices and basic networking principles
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred

Experience with IT asset management software and tools
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or relevant Microsoft certifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity software
