They are currently recruiting for a Steel Forge Quality Inspector who will be responsible for conducting inspections of steel parts and ensuring quality standards are met during production.

Responsibilities
Take hourly samples directly from the hammer/press in an efficient and safe manner
Thorough visual inspections of the part for imperfections
Dimensional inspection of parts using a caliper, micrometer, height gage, etc
Hourly non-destructive Magnaflux testing
Promptly inform supervisors of non-conformances during production
Perform dimensional studies, layouts, and capability studies
Accurate entry of tracking information and inspection data into Excel
Assist with corrective action investigations
Using forklift to transport material as needed
Practice safe work habits and follow safety rules
Qualification
Required
Experience in manufacturing, preferably in steel, forging or machining
Organized and self-motivated
Ability to complete tasks unsupervised
Take hourly samples directly from the hammer/press in an efficient and safe manner
Thorough visual inspections of the part for imperfections
Dimensional inspection of parts using a caliper, micrometer, height gage, etc
Hourly non-destructive Magnaflux testing
Promptly inform supervisors of non-conformances during production

Knowledge and Experience using inspection equipment (calipers, height gages, etc.)
Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a safe manner around hazardous equipment
Strong blueprint reading and comprehension
