Responsibilities
Define, communicate, and evolve the vision and roadmap for graph products
Manage and continuously refine the product backlog—translating complex modeling requirements into clear, testable user stories
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical delivery teams
Collaborate with architects and data engineers to align master data, business objects, analytical models, or knowledge graphs with strategic business outcomes
Validate data, model relationships, and domain structures at a conceptual level without performing hands-on development
Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure iterative, high-quality delivery
Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership in a clear, structured way
Use data insights and modeling principles to drive prioritization
Support AI/ML, enterprise search, or knowledge retrieval initiatives when aligned to customer data domains
Support business rule and data-driven sub-graph development
Support structured metadata search and personalization in Intelligent Search
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of Product Owner or functional analyst experience
Hands-on experience with graph modeling, semantic modeling, ontology engineering, or enterprise information modeling
Experience with Graph Databases (SAP Hana, Apache, GraphDB, Neo4J), Databricks for ETL or AI processing, search and retrieval frameworks (Elasticsearch, Coveo, Marklogic, etc.). and W3 standards for semantics
Familiarity with semantic web technologies is a plus, as is proven familiarity with formal semantics and data modeling. Semantic Models and Graph Frameworks (Resource Description Framework, OWL, SHACL, etc.)
An optimal candidate also has experience with Data Modeling, Business Modeling, and Ontology creation; we aim to create bespoke knowledge graphs, and our product owner will need to leverage business interviews with SMEs to define the requirements for the graph engineers
AI and Machine learning. Experience with LLMs and hot-topic AI tools is helpful, as is experience with Natural Language Processing libraries and formal semantics
Solid understanding of Agile delivery frameworks, including backlog management and user story creation
Ability to translate complex business requirements into modeling constructs
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including architects, data engineers, and business SMEs
Preferred
Background in ontology standards such as RDF, OWL, SKOS, or SPARQL
Familiarity with enterprise master data modeling patterns
Exposure to AI/ML, knowledge retrieval, or intelligent enterprise search solutions
Certifications such as CSPO, SAFe POPM, or related credentials
Familiarity with GraphRAG-based solutions
