Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities
Escalating to relevant stakeholders, as necessary, to remove roadblocks that prevent the successful implementation and adoption of continuous improvement initiatives at local level and helping facilitate cases of conflicting priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Ensuring the continuous improvement approach and strategy deployed at local ABB unit level is aligned with the global strategy
Facilitating significant improvements with respect to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and/or cost targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments in collaboration with local leadership
Providing training support by developing and maintaining training modules and toolkits aligned with business needs in collaboration with management at local level
Qualification
Required
Engineering degree (mechanical, industrial or related degree) required
2 years of experience in manufacturing, leading large projects and purchasing new equipment
Experience with project management and proven history of driving and sustaining change
Possess knowledge of SAP and MS Office package. Power Bi & Power Apps is an added advantage
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
Preferred
Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Tools, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis is preferred
