Responsibilities

Own product for Synota, with a clear focus on AI/ML-driven workflow automation
Translate messy, real-world customer workflows into simple, reliable product primitives
Design systems that learn, adapt, and improve over time based on real usage and data
Partner with engineering to balance AI-driven decisions with deterministic systems, ensuring data integrity and a clear source of truth
Collaborate directly with customers to design human-centered workflows that reflect how teams actually work, including approvals, handoffs, overrides, and exception handling
Own the correctness, reliability, and trustworthiness of automated workflows in production
Make hard tradeoffs when speed, accuracy, and complexity collide

Required

5+ years building software products, ideally in the energy sector (settlements, trading, operations, risk), with openness to adjacent, operationally complex domains

Strong conviction around AI and automation, with the judgment to know when not to use it
Think in systems, not features — how data, decisions, and humans interact end to end
Direct, clear communicator with high integrity and ownership mindset
