Financial Analyst

Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School is a state-wide, public K-12 online charter school providing a dynamic learning experience through cyber education. The Financial Analyst position assists the CFO with financial aspects, ensuring accurate budgeting and reporting while collaborating with managers to achieve successful financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

Prepare timely financial statements and other financial reports for management
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
Conduct monthly analysis to monitor expenses, revenues, payables and receivables to identify potential issues, adequacy of expense accruals and scenario based financial performance
Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and financial reporting to enhance efficiency
Analyze financial data to identify trends and insights that can inform decision-making
Maintain operational budgets, forecasts, and expense accruals in collaboration with dept managers
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies and accounting standards
Support internal and external audits as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
A CPA or CMA or plans to achieve is a plus
Proficiency with financial and accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, etc.)
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, 'sumif' and lookup functions
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and budgeting and forecasting principles
High attention to detail, accuracy and multitasking abilities
Proven experience with account reconciliation and financial reporting
Ability to identify and resolve financial issues or problems
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Strong presentation, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Effective time-management skills and a collaborative, cooperative attitude, especially when working under pressure
