Director of Financial, Planning and Analysis

Aurora Payments is seeking a Director of Financial, Planning and Analysis who will own the end-to-end financial management of revenue. This role involves budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and collaboration with sales and product teams to drive strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead forecasting and planning activities with regards to revenue, inclusive of model building where applicable
Participate in month end accounting close activities
Produce financial reporting related to revenue, including key drivers of revenue, customer profitability and trending
Identify, monitor and communicate opportunities and risks
Act as extension of sales and go to market teams, providing financial guidance and stewardship throughout planning and initiatives
Help lead annual sales goal planning process
Participate in creation and/or modification of incentive compensation plans
Be an active participant in the sales deal desk process, reviewing individual deals to ensure expected revenue and margin targets are achieved
Partner on strategic initiatives led by the Product (or other organization) to the extent expected to drive revenue to the business
Lead, mentor, and develop FP&A team members (as applicable)
Improve financial processes, tools, and systems to increase accuracy, speed, and scalability
Partner with Accounting to ensure alignment between actuals, forecasts, and reporting
Support M&A, integrations, and strategic initiatives as needed
Prepare materials for Board, investors, and senior leadership
Drive special projects and deep-dive analyses on key business questions

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
At least 5 years demonstrated FP&A experience within the payments/merchant services industry
Understanding of merchant services revenue components and go to market strategies
Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing decision-making
Ability to effectively interact within the finance and accounting organization, as well as cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product and operations
Excellent skills within Excel and other financial software programs
Comfortable engaging in decisions across staffing, customer contracts, incentive programs, exceptional payments and commercial T&Cs
Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to make your voice heard in fast-paced, confrontational environments

Preferred

Experience in a high-growth, PE-backed, SaaS, fintech, or technology-enabled environment
MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus
