Research Scientist
The University of Chicago is seeking a Research Scientist with expertise in tissue biology and quantitative imaging to work with Professor Margaret Gardel. The role involves developing imaging-based characterizations of tissue-scale inflammation states in skin organoids, including establishing protocols for fixation and sectioning, as well as staining and imaging samples.

Developing imaging-based characterizations of tissue-scale inflammation states in skin organoids
Establishing protocols for the fixation and sectioning of skin organoids grown at the Biohub
Staining and imaging of the samples using spinning-disk or laser-scanning confocal microscopes
3D reconstruction to account for changes in tissue composition and structure
Qualification
Required
A Ph.D. in Biology or related field
At least three years of postdoctoral research experience
Significant experience in the area of epithelial morphogenesis and epithelial mechanics
Expertise in quantitative imaging
