Director of Communications
Port Royal Club is a private beach club dedicated to luxury, leisure, and exceptional service located in Naples, Florida. The Director of Communications is responsible for safeguarding and elevating the Club’s brand through polished communications, overseeing member and employee messaging, and collaborating with leadership on strategic initiatives.

Curating refined member communications across digital and print platforms
Overseeing internal messaging that supports employee engagement, recognition, and service standards
Partnering closely with Club leadership to communicate strategic initiatives, special events, and change with transparency and care
Ensuring all communications reflect Port Royal’s traditions, exclusivity, and commitment to exceptional service while fostering a sense of community, pride, and connection among members and staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, or brand management, preferably within a private club, luxury hospitality, resort, nonprofit, or high‑end service environment
Demonstrated experience working with a discerning, high‑net‑worth, and multi‑generational audience, with a strong understanding of expectations around privacy, discretion, and professionalism
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft polished, thoughtful messaging that reflects elegance, tradition, and brand integrity
Proven ability to manage member communications, internal employee messaging, and leadership communications with sensitivity and confidentiality
Strong strategic thinking skills, with experience advising senior leadership and collaborating with boards or governance bodies
Experience overseeing digital communications, including websites, email platforms, and member‑facing content, as well as print publications and special announcements
Ability to maintain brand consistency across all channels while adapting tone and approach for diverse audiences and situations
Demonstrated success leading communications related to organizational change, employee engagement, and recognition initiatives
High level of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and judgment, with the ability to handle sensitive matters calmly and discreetly
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced, service‑driven environment
Proficiency with modern communication tools, content management systems, and collaboration platforms
Deep appreciation for club culture, tradition, service excellence, and the importance of fostering trust, pride, and connection among members and staff
