Responsibilities
Assist security staff with processing inmates for intake and release
Interpret court orders and circulate to the appropriate department for action
Explain basic rules and regulations
Comprehend and interpret policies and procedures, rules and regulations
Maintain the OIS system ensuring updates with current court orders
Inventory inmate property
Assist with updating housing assignments
Assist security staff with inmate identification through fingerprinting and photographing
Communicate directly with local magistrate and circuit courts, judges, circuit clerks, prosecutors, attorneys, other correctional facilities, federal facilities, law enforcement agencies, as well as the general public
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent
Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience performing routine office work
College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience
