Responsibilities
Lead multiple projects, as required, such as integrating acquired portfolios of Real Estate credit loans into the MLS platform
Evaluate and update control documentation for the various mortgage loan processes
Work closely with the Real Estate Credit Portfolio Management, Investment and Legal teams, to onboard Mortgage Loans and related investment structures, ensuring investments are accurately built in the mortgage loan servicing system
Assist in managing, coordinating and monitoring the timely collection of all due diligence for the closing process and ongoing life cycle activity related to Mortgage Loans
Ensure timely recording of data to facilitate regulatory requirements
Create and evaluate reports for distribution to Senior Management, Underwriters, Investment department and rating agencies
Support the Real Estate investment valuation process, including preparing data sets as required
Work collaboratively with IT to develop, automate and maintain reports
Perform other related work as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Minimum 10 years of overall work experience, with direct experience leading the middle- and back-office mortgage loan servicing function
Direct experience in serving insurance clients or in the middle- and back-office of an insurance business
Strong project management capabilities with an ability to coordinate and collaborate across multiple stakeholders and functional areas
Strong proficiency in Precision LM
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, and the willingness to always support the team
Proven ability to work in dynamic, complex, and fast-paced environments, with adaptability to manage changing priorities and deadlines
Preferred
Advanced degree (MBA, Masters in Finance), CFA or CPA preferable
Familiarity with tools such as Aladdin, Clearwater or similar is an asset
