Responsibilities

Conduct outer diameter visual inspection (10x magnification) for damage on tubes and hardware (B nuts, sleeves, etc.)
Measure minor features using calipers and micrometers (training provided for using Gelsight to measure damage depth)
Perform basic drawing interpretation (limited to hexes and notes, not dimensional details)
Verify raw material using an XRF gun (training and safety instructions will be provided)
Conduct visual inspection of threads, with minimal use of thread plug gauges
Perform potential inner diameter visual inspection using a borescope, making pass/fail decisions based on visual comparison to specification images
Conduct possible wipe test (using black light) for Class 2 clean verification
Measure potential putty dimensions using an optical comparator

Required

Experience inspecting mechanical parts (client-specific training provided)

Familiarity with aerospace quality standards
Prior experience with specialized inspection tools such as borescopes, optical comparators, and XRF guns
Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
