Human Resources Assistant
Wag’n Tails Mobile Conversions is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to join their HR Team. The HR Assistant will be responsible for processing payroll accurately, maintaining the HRIS system, and supporting HR department initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into the system
Update payroll records by entering/verifying changes in exceptions, insurance coverage, deductions, bonus information, commissions, and job title/department transfers
Prepare reports by compiling data of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages
Resolve payroll discrepancies
Provide support to team members by responding to questions and requests
Maintain payroll operations by following established payroll procedures and suggesting needed changes
Review payroll information for completeness and accuracy and coordinate with department supervisors for PTO and timecard approval and missed times. Issue paychecks accurately
Process wage verification and child support/medical support notices
Assist in Benefits Administration, ACA Compliance, Performance/Training Audits, support of operations staff
Issue digital onboarding to new employees, coordinate with managers for completion, suggest updates to new employee process
Run criminal background for new employees following company policy and procedures
Assist in employee file audits as directed
Support digital filing transition
Complete termination process and paperwork per company procedures
Maintain digital filing system and transition paper files to the digital filing system
Other HR/Payroll projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding or experience in HR functions
Processing payroll accurately
Administering to the HRIS system to maintain accurate data
Support HR department initiatives
