Responsibilities

Perform or oversee wetland delineations, stream assessments, and threatened or endangered species habitat assessments
Prepare reports and permits with minimal supervision adhering to state and federal environmental regulations including stream and wetland permitting, as well as the Endangered Species Act, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 401/404 of the Clean Water Act, and state water quality standards
Create environmental permitting and mitigation strategy
Interact with clients and the regulatory community
Mentor junior staff
Assist team members by providing technical directions
Assist with proposal development and budget tracking
Collect and evaluate water quality results
Ability to coordinate and principally self-direct assigned field investigation tasks, and project deliverables
Be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment to meet project deadlines
Work in a multi-discipline team context
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Geology, Environmental Science, or similar environmental discipline is required
Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in the markets in which CESO operates is required; Master's degree in Biology, Geology, Environmental Science, or similar environmental discipline can substitute up to 1 year of work experience
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have the ability to reserve rental cars for business purposes
Ability to coordinate and principally self-direct assigned field investigation tasks, and project deliverables
Be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment to meet project deadlines
Work in a multi-discipline team context

Preferred

OSHA 10 Hour Construction and/or Safe Land Certification preferred, or to be obtained upon hire
First Aid & CPR certification is preferred
Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence
Proficient in Microsoft Suite products, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Google Earth Pro, and Bluebeam
