Responsibilities
Monitor project expenses to ensure labor, materials, and overhead are accurately recorded and aligned with contractual activity
Review work-in-process, job progress, and percentage-of-completion calculations
Oversee inventory cycle counts and validate inventory movements and usage
Ensure timely job closures and proper expense recognition
Prepare monthly job and inventory reporting for consolidated financial statements
Support month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Assist with annual budgeting and financial planning activities
Maintain and update standard costing models
Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal financial controls
Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes and reporting accuracy
Partner with operations teams to align financial tracking with project execution
Work closely with accounting leadership on daily accounting needs
Support external audit requests and documentation for quarterly and annual reviews
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
3+ years of experience in project accounting, cost analysis, or financial operations
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial controls
Experience working within ERP/MRP systems (manufacturing or project-based environments preferred)
Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capability
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proven ability to manage deadlines, analyze complex data, and solve problems effectively
