The Retail Pharmacy Support Services Intern will analyze data from the Pharmacy Support Desk, assist in improving processes, and engage in impactful projects to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Self-study existing Pharmacy programs, services and products
Perform in-depth analysis of phone and email tickets handled by the Pharmacy Support Desk
Review pharmacy audit results to identify trends and opportunities
Assist in proposing and implementing new policies and procedures that improve operational efficiency and/or compliance
Assist other teams in the pharmacy RBU with various critical projects such as the development of a comprehensive Third-Party Billing Guide
Qualification
Required
must be an actively enrolled student not graduating prior to the start of the Summer Internship Program in May; or
if graduating from a bachelor's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester; or
if graduating from a master's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester)
must be pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in pharmacy, business, data analytics, health sciences, or related field and be a current sophomore or above (rising junior or above as of the program start in Summer 2026) or a graduate student
basic experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
possess presentation skills
must be interested in data analysis and interpreting data
have a background in pharmacy or healthcare
Preferred
current or previous Publix associate
Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern
general healthcare knowledge including insurance claims processing and/or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM)
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
