The intern will gain experience in water and wastewater design and planning projects under the mentorship of staff engineers and project managers.
Civil Engineering
Responsibilities
Participate in staff, public, and client meetings
Modeling of water delivery systems
Prepare simple hydraulic calculations and analysis
Assist in the research, planning, and design of water and wastewater infrastructure
Perform technical writing and assisting with development of technical reports
Conduct site visits
Coordinate with subconsultants and vendors
Data entry and analysis
Provide general program and construction management support
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in a full-time program seeking a B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, City and Regional Planning, Construction Management, or a Related Field
Candidates must be in good academic standing
Proficient with MS Office
Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Interview process includes review of current transcript (unofficial transcripts are sufficient)
Experience and high performance under the pressure of deadlines
Proven time management skills
High career aspirations and a willingness to learn
Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred
Some prior experience with AutoCAD
Some prior experience with ESRI (GIS)
Some prior experience with Hydraulic Modeling Software
