Inside Sales Representative
Olander is a full-line distributor of fasteners and related products, serving customers globally since 1962. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for selling products to new and existing customers, ensuring a smooth sales process, and contributing to the company's revenue growth through excellent customer service and strategic outreach.

Responsibilities
Support Olander sales by providing an excellent customer experience through timely and accurate quotations, technical information, and moving opportunities through the sales process while contributing to top line growth by meeting or exceeding the sales target
Pursue professional growth by acquiring fastener product and application knowledge, selling skills, and certifications relevant to position and company objectives
Listen and utilize a strategic approach to identify, evaluate, and recommend solutions considering customers’ needs. Educate yourself on customer’s business to better communicate the value of partnering with Olander
Respond to requests for quotes via email and phone calls and communicate price breaks to customers. Follow up on outstanding quotes
Enter orders per customer specifications and track the fulfillment process to completion
Answer and respond to calls in the calling queue (along with other team members)
Make proactive outreach calls to customers daily (per established requirements) to generate interest, qualify prospects, and close sales. Record activity into the ERP/CRM
Nurture accounts of pre-determined customers in an effort to increase business on top accounts
Establish, review regularly, and measure quarterly goals with manager
Adhere to compliance, quality, and purchasing requirements
Review all purchase orders for payment terms, conditions, or special provisions that conflict with standard Olander terms of business
Work with the Compliance team on T&Cs per PO and create quotes based upon requirements
Increase sales year over year as determined by company goals
Respond to customer return requests (RMA’s) in a professional and timely manner, reporting all RMAs as directed per our Quality Management System (QMS)
Attend meetings, webinars, participate in technical conventions and expos, and attend vendor training seminars as required
Get current pricing for out-of-stock non-stockable items
Track lost sales and report potential opportunities to Sales Manager
Contact/Update inventory cross reference information in the Olander ERP as new relationships are discovered
Provide backup to other sales team members as assigned for absences and overflow
Provide Counter Sales/Will Call backup support as needed
Maintain confidentiality of customer and company data
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
3-5 years' experience in a technical sales environment with demonstrated experience in inside sales techniques, field sales support, detailed communication, and superior customer service
Intermediate to advanced computer skills including ERP/CRM usage, Quoting, and Order Management
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, Outlook, Word, and Excel
Proficiency in writing clear and concise communications internally and externally
Ability to work and to interact with customers and employees while demonstrating tact, sensitivity, discretion, and professionalism
Strong keyboarding and proofreading skills that result in minimal errors
Preferred
2- or 4-year degree from an accredited college preferred
Distribution experience, hard goods preferred, fastener or industrial experience a plus
