Global Head of Index Research & Development
Nasdaq is a leading global technology company serving the capital markets and other industries. The Head of Index Research & Development will lead the creation of research content and the development of new indexes, managing product development from ideation to launch while collaborating with internal partners and representing the index business in high-level client meetings.

Responsibilities
Will take a holistic view across Nasdaq’s quantitative engineering solutions of data science and its role in developing business opportunities
Drives global Quantitative Engineering strategies for both internal and external clients
Partners strategically with Executive Leaders in their interactions with global clients identifying further business opportunities using business intelligence/data analytics/quantitative engineering thinking and processes
Works with our most strategic client organizations on unique assignments and problems
Provides functional leadership for Nasdaq Machine Intelligence strategy
Works with Vice President Machine Intelligence ensuring design and dissemination of global policies and procedures
Provides strategic guidance and critical insight regarding multi-discipline strategic concerns, serving as the ‘go-to’ person
Counsels multi-disciplinary teams on issues that seem ‘unsolvable’
Drives operational excellence in the product development life cycle
Qualification
Required
At least 10 years of experience in research and development of indexes and/or rules-based investment products
Detailed knowledge of the regulatory and commercial dynamics underpinning the markets and investment vehicles served by Nasdaq's index business
Track record of 'connecting the dots' between the R&D work being undertaken in one area of the business and the opportunities to leverage it elsewhere based on client and/or investor demand, as well as the ever-evolving regulatory and macroeconomic backdrop
Wide-ranging and insatiable intellectual curiosity
Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills, with sharp attention to detail
Experience utilizing SQL, R, Python, and Databricks
Experience utilizing Tableau or similar data visualization tools to create compelling content that enhances product pitching efforts
