Processing Technician, MS ON (On-the-Job Training)

Responsibilities

Tissue Processing: Reviews work orders or processing instructions/scheduling prior to initiating production. Works with production supervisors to adjust plans as needed. Performs all aspects of processing tissue (debridement, dissection, cutting, cleaning and disinfection, sizing, assessing) according to current procedures and protocols. Assists supervisory team in production enhancement and improvement initiatives
Packaging: Perform all aspects of packaging and preservation of tissue products (confirmation of sizing, quality, packaging materials, cryopreservation, etc.) according to current procedures and protocols
Documentation & Data Entry: Document all processes and functions performed in accordance with all procedures and protocols
Decontamination: Perform post-processing decontamination of equipment and the processing room according to current procedures and protocols

Required

High School or GED required
Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
Two years of work experience is required

Preferred

Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) Certification preferred
One (1) year Tissue Processing, Tissue Recovery, Manufacturing, Operations, or as a Surgical Technician
Two (2) years' experience working in a non-clerical, fast-paced, hands-on setting
