Responsibilities
Build and lead the operational framework for a medical communications offering, including project workflows, delivery standards, and cross-functional collaboration models
Own financial performance across the portfolio, including budget development, pricing models, SOW construction, margin management, and revenue forecasting
Provide delivery oversight across all projects, ensuring timelines, resourcing, and quality standards are consistently met
Lead resource planning and utilization, balancing internal teams and external partners to meet fluctuating demand
Establish robust reporting on utilization, revenue recognition, and profitability for senior leadership
Ensure alignment with pharmaceutical and biotech procurement requirements to support smooth project initiation and invoicing
Qualification
Required
Proven years working experience within a medical communications agency or scientific consulting environment
Deep, hands-on understanding of med comms deliverables (e.g., scientific platforms, KOL engagement, congress activity, educational and digital materials)
Proven ownership of multi-million-dollar project portfolios with accountability for margin and utilization
Track record of building or optimizing delivery and operational processes in a growing organization
Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience partnering closely with finance teams
Experience in a high-growth or well-established med comms or scientific agency
Comfortable operating in an early-stage or build environment where processes are being designed, not inherited
Strong systems literacy across project management, resourcing, and financial tracking tools
