Responsibilities
Research Design & Preparation: Define research questions, select appropriate methodologies (observation, diary studies, interviews), and create participant screeners and research protocols
Data Collection & Analysis: Conduct usability testing, card sorting, and ethnography using both qualitative and quantitative approaches
Roadmapping: Collaborate with Product and Business stakeholders to determine study priorities and timelines
Reporting: Translate complex data into easily understandable insights and artifacts, including experience maps, usability test reports, and personas
Collaboration: Act as the link between Research, Design, and Business partners to ensure research aligns with strategic goals
Qualification
Required
Deep foundational knowledge of User-Centered Design (UCD) and Human Factors research methods
Exceptional written, oral, and graphical skills to craft impactful insights for executive stakeholders
Knowledge of Figma is required
Proven ability to balance tasks across multiple simultaneous studies and create future study roadmaps
Undergraduate degree in Psychology, Anthropology, Computer Science, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field
3-5 years of relevant experience in design research
Incredible attention to detail
Strong collaborative skills across cross-functional groups
Preferred
Prior experience working within Banking or Insurance
Experience with UserTesting.com
Knowledge of inferential statistics and familiarity with analysis software (R, SAS, or SPSS)
